Wendy Esko is one of the leading natural food cooking teachers in the world today. She studied extensively with Michio and Aveline Kushi in Boston in the 1970s, and for a year in Japan, and has given thousands of cooking classes over the past twenty-five years. Wendy is the former director of the Kushi Institute (K.I.) School of Cooking in Brookline, and served on the faculty of the K.I. in Becket. She has taught macrobiotic cooking in Japan, Italy, and in the Caribbean, and in dozens of cities throughout the United States.

Wendy is the author of Introducing Macrobiotic Cooking, Macrobiotic Cooking for Everyone, Rice is Nice, Soup du Jour, and Eat Your Veggies, and co-author with Aveline Kushi of The Changing Seasons Cookbook, The Quick and Natural Cookbook, Diet for Natural Beauty, and other books. In addition to inspiring hundreds of thousands of people through her books and classes, Wendy has given many personal counseling sessions, specializing in women’s, children’s, and family health. She is the mother of eight and, as of 2006, grandmother of five. She lives now in Clinton, Michigan and works for EDEN Foods.
